Confirmations are sent one week prior to start date of class. A separate confirmation will be sent for each course for which you are registered.
You will be contacted by phone, mail or e-mail if a course is canceled or changed. When registering, please make certain we have your current telephone number(s), mailing address and e-mail address(es).
Certificates are awarded for the satisfactory completion of Continuing Studies classes and workshops. CONTINUING EDUCATION UNITS (CEUs) One "Continuing Education Unit" (CEU) is 10 contact hours of participation in an organized continuing education experience under responsible sponsorship, capable direction and qualified instruction. Continuing Education Units are awarded upon completion of demonstrated participation in an organized continuing education experience and is based on a minimum of 90 percent attendance and/or a competency evaluation. A student will earn all or none of the CEUs awarded.

Withdrawals can be submitted by phone, mail or fax. A refund check will be mailed to you within eight weeks.
100 percent refund when the University cancels a course.
100 percent refund if you withdraw from a course one week or more before the start date.

All meetings, hearings, conferences, classes, etc., are held in accessible locations. Auxiliary aids and services will be provided upon request for participants with disabilities. Through the ACCESS program, participants can take undergraduate credit courses on a noncredit basis. People in business and the professions may enroll in courses to expand their skills and knowledge without formally being admitted to the University for a degree program. ACCESS enrollment is on a space-available basis only and students must meet course prerequisites. Completed work is recognized, though not graded, and Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are awarded, provided the student has attended 70 percent of the class sessions. An ACCESS student will not be able to take credit by examination after taking a course for noncredit. Cost for ACCESS enrollment is 70 percent of the normal tuition.
Ohio Citizens age 60 and over are invited to register for any credit class on a non-credit, space-available, tuition-free basis. However, neither academic credit nor CEUs will be issued.
If the purpose of attending is to help you maintain or improve skills relating to employment or business, expenses for books and fees may be tax deductible according to I.R.C. Reg. 1.162-5. Please consult your tax advisor.
