Kill A Watt Project!
Ever wonder how much electricity the everyday devices in your household consume each year? How much money is also being consumed by these devices? Here is your chance to find the answer to your questions! For this activity participants will need a “Kill A Watt” device. They will use this device to measure the amount of energy common household devices use on daily and yearly basis. Participants must complete all of the activities on the “Kill A Watt" worksheet to learn how much energy various devices are using. Kill A Watt devices may be checked out from the Kent Trumbull Library for a short period of time. All devices must be returned on-time or you will be assessed a late fee. Completed worksheets should be dropped off to the advising office and placed in Jacob Roope’s mailbox. Completed worksheets will allow participants to be entered in to a drawing for prizes. All participants receive a gift for participating in this activity, but only three participants will win grand prize. For questions, contact Jacob Roope at email@example.com. Prizes include a choice of an Energy Audit of your home ($50 value) or $50 cash (3 Winners). Completed forms must be turned in no later than April 10, 2013 at Noon to the advising offices of Kent Trumbull. All contest participants must be Kent Trumbull students.
