2014 Bridge Building Contest WinnersPosted Feb. 25, 2014
The Kent State University at Tuscarawas Engineering Technology Department held the Regional Bridge Building Contest for area high school students on Feb. 20. Students participated from the following Cyber Club schools: Claymont High School, Dover High School, New Philadelphia High School and Tuscarawas Valley High School. Nick Gauding won first place and Kaley Cross placed second. Both students are from Tuscarawas Valley High School.
The submitted entries were judged by members of the Tuscarawas Valley Society of Professional Engineers. There were 67 bridges submitted by individual students. All students were given a participation award. In addition, the first and second place winners will be given the opportunity to compete in the International Contest to be held in Chicago, IL.
