The Kent State Tuscarawas intercollegiate Men's Basketball Team plays a very
competitive 24-plus game schedule against area ORCC member schools, area two-year colleges and JV teams of area four-year colleges and universities.
Students are encouraged to attend conditioning and try out for the team. Conditioning begins in September and games begin the last week of October and run through February. Starting dates will be posted on the university monitors and bulletin boards.
Coach Craig Moore
Coach Craig Moore brings valuable high school coaching experience to Kent State Tuscarawas. He has held several different coaching positions at Conotton Valley Schools, most recently Varsity Girls Basketball Coach. Coach Moore was named Coach of the Year, Eastern District V for the 2011-2012 season.
Coach Moore's philosophy on basketball is that he "believes hard work and discipline are important lessons to teach our young people. These principals will not only benefit our young men in basketball, but also in life after basketball. As a coach, I believe we are to help prepare them for games as well as life." He believes in working hard on fundamentals, conditioning, hustle and an aggressive defense. Teaching a team concept is imperative so that when facing bigger or faster opponents, the team will be able to compete because the team plays as one, for each other and not for themselves.
