  • Ben’s Guide to US Government for Kids (

    • Has government information for K-12, as well as parents and teachers.

    • This is the business gateway to the federal government. It has links for regulatory compliance, business licenses and permits, and government agency contracts.
  • Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (
    • This site contains health information and statistics for students, public health practitioners, and healthcare providers. Has links to institutes and the Mortality and Morbidity Weekly Report (MMWR).  It contains many links for diseases and conditions as well.

    • This site collects statistics from over 100 federal agencies and departments.

  • Federal Business Opportunities (
    • Through this one-stop virtual marketplace, commercial vendors and buyers can post, search, retrieve and monitor contracts from all areas of the federal government.

  • Federal Trade Commission (
    • The FTC has good links for consumer protection and prevention of identity theft and internet fraud. Also, it houses the Do Not Call registry.

  • Free Application for Federal Student Aid (
    • This is the site for the form for financial aid most colleges require.

    • GPO Access provides access to the Congressional Record, the Federal Register, Bills, Laws, the Code of Federal Regulations, and the Catalog of Government Publications, as well as much more information from the federal government.

    • This is the site for forms and regulations for individuals, companies, charities and nonprofits and tax professionals.

    • The NAL provides resources on subjects such as food safety, food and nutrition, animals and livestock, marketing and trade, and laws and regulations. Users can search AGRICOLA, the National Agricultural Library online catalog.

  • Securities and Exchange Commission (
    • The primary responsibility of the SEC is to enforce federal securities laws and to regulate the securities industry and the stock markets. There are links to company EDGAR filings.

    • The SBA helps to build and grow businesses. It has links for marketing, education and assessing your business.
